The Proulxs: Jordan, the picture of health.

Today was Jordan's 4 year check up. He is in the best of health. As usual he's in the 96th percentile for height. He was very proud of that. Apparently he also has a very good vocabulary. The Dr. asked him a few different questions to see if he could answer them correctly:

Dr: What do you do when you are tired?
Jordan: I go to bed and be quiet.
Dr: What do you do when you are hungry?
Jordan: I eat pasta.
Dr: Is there anything else you want to say?
Jordan: No...I'm a little shy.

I was reading Jordan the account of the First Vision. I asked him what the "mist of darkness" was that surrounded Joseph. According to him, it was "probably a turtle."
Joshie one day lamented that his friend Janica was happy one minute, and mad the next. I said: " Oh, don't worry about it, girls are like that, everything will be fine." Joshie said : " Yeah, that's what Daddy said. He said girls are crazy and that they get crazier as they get older." Mommy: " Oh, REALLY?! Do tell...."
Joshie with toy screw driver in hand says: " Mommy, I'm going to go screw something up."
Mommy: Jadon, for the third time, you need to clean up your puzzle. Jadon: Mommy, I'm sick of you. Mommy: EXCUSE ME?! Jadon: Uh...I mean, I'm getting you a beautiful princess shirt!! (Jadon promptly picks up his puzzle.)
Jadon: Mommy, you're so nice, you have a good mommy's heart. Mommy: Oh, thanks Jadon, that's nice of you. Jadon: Yeah, you're not a jerk at all.
*Joshie was sitting by our open window when a neighbor walked by, Joshie: 'Hi!" Neighbor; " How are you Joshie?" Joshie; "I'm sick today." Neighbor: " Oh, whats wrong?" Joshie: " I have the bird flu."
*Jordan: "Mommy, I'm glad YOU are my son."
*Mommy to Jadon: "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Jadon: "A skeleton."
*Joshie was home sick from school and I said : "You're quiet today." Joshie said : " I'm more of a man of action."
*Mommy: "Jordan, when I'm old will you take care of me?" Jordan : "yep" Mommy: " What will you do for me?" Jordan: "Well....(long thoughful pause ) I'll put you in our van...take you to da hospitol, and go back and get you when you are dead. Is that O.K.?"
*Jadon: "Mommy, turn your head and close your eyes". Mommy "Why?" Jadon "Because I'm trying to sneak some ice cream and I can't do it if you are looking at me."
*Mommy: "Joshie, where do you think you will go on your mission?" Joshie "Man, I don't know, you don't even let me cross the street by myself."
*Mommy: "So, Joshie, what do you want to be when you grow up?' Joshie:" I want to fix people's broken bones". Mommy: "Well, that sounds like a good idea." Joshie, "yeah, and I want to work down at the gas station on the weekends too, they sell milkshakes there."
*When I told Jadon that Marlene died, he said..."I can't believe Heavenly Father opened our ceiling and took her out, that is so bad!!"
*Jadon:"Mommy, why am I milk, and Jordan is chocolate?" Mommy: "Thats the way the Lord made you. " Pause... Jadon: "Can you make me some chocolate milk?"
*Mommy: "What do you want to be when you grow up Jordan?" Jordan: "A tomato farmer" Mommy: "Do you want to grow anything else?" Jordan: "Just pasta"
*Joshie:"Do bee's make honey?" Mommy:"Yes they do" Joshie: "What kind of bugs make hotdogs?"
